During their five years in existence, the Niš quartet Eyot, led by pianist and composer Dejan Ilijić, have fulfilled the dreams of several generations of their Serbian jazz predecessors. Both of their albums were published under foreign labels (from USA and Germany); their video was chosen as All About Jazz Video of the Day on the leading international jazz web portal allaboutjazz.com; they are the winners of the Midem Off competition in the Cannes; and they have already performed in the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Romania, Slovakia, Macedonia, China, Hong Kong and South Korea. Their music combines jazz and rock, the sophistication of the classical piano, psychedelic and ambient music, as well as local elements of Eastern European folklore. Later this year, Eyot members will enter a studio in Bristol, where they will record their third album produced by Jim Barr (Portishead, Get the Blessing).
Srce mi je puno kad vidim da je neko od mojih uspeo i ostvario snove u tako kreativnom smislu.Daje mi vetar u krila i nadu da se i ja izborim i osetim makar delic tog ushicenja.Nadam se da ce imati na umu da smo puno ponosni mi,Nislije,na njih i njihov rad jer smo od uvek znali da su nesto drugacije i prepoznatljivo jos na smamom pocetku njihovog uspona.
Iskreno verujem i molim za njih da i dalje istraju u tome sto rade jer svojom Muzikom i Umetnoscu bude u svakom kreativnu misao i zelju za lepim,drugacijim,vecnim..:)With a head high fly to sky!!!:)
