LARS DANIELSSON: „LIBERETTO“
Cello and upright bass player, composer, arranger and producer Lars Danielsson (1958) is a renowned figure in the world of European jazz. He has been active since the late 1970s. He has worked with numerous jazz giants: David Liebman, Bobo Stenson, Jon Christensen, John Scofield, John Abercrombie, Charles Lloyd, Jack DeJohnette, Mike Stern, Michael and Randy Brecker, Trilok Gurtu, Kenny Wheeler, Leszek Możdżer to name a few. On his latest project Liberetto, Danielsson collaborated with pianist Tigran Hamasyan, mixing Scandinavian and Armenian folklore with jazz and contemporary classical music that create a dominant lyrical and ballad atmosphere. The pianist at the Belgrade’s concert is the Israeli Yaron Herman whom the audience will remember from a successful performance at the 2008 Belgrade Jazz Festival, held at the Ilija M. Kolarac Foundation venue. This show was broadcasted live on the international music TV channel Mezzo.
